Board of Selectmen
The executive powers of the town are vested in the Board of Selectmen who have all of the executive powers given to Boards of Selectmen by the Charter and the Massachusetts General Laws.

Board of Assessors
The mission of the Board of Assessors and it's staff is to value Real and Personal Property in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, administer exemption, abatement, and excise programs and assist taxpayers, as well as other town departments, in a courteous, innovative and fiscally responsible manner.

Board of Health
The Board of Health is concerned with all aspects of public health as they relate to daily living standards and is active with such issues as environmental standards, pollution control, land development, septic system standards, hazardous waste mitigation, and public health programs.

Board of Library Trustees
The Board of Library Trustees is an elected body that has the responsibility under the Seekonk Town Charter, the Town Bylaws, and Massachusetts General Laws to administer the Seekonk Public Library and all properties assigned to it by the voters of the Town of Seekonk.

Capital Improvement Committee
The Capital Improvement Committee is a seven-member committee with four appointed by the Board of Selectmen and three by the Moderator to a three-year term.

Community Preservation Committee
The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) will recommend to Town Meeting those projects that it feels will best achieve the purpose of the Community Preservation Act legislation which includes open space, historical preservation, affordable housing, and recreation.

Conservation Commission
Our mission is to protect Seekonk's wetland and water resources as well as to preserve land for open space and passive recreation.

Cultural Council
The Seekonk Cultural Council's primary purpose is to ensure that Seekonk’s share of funds from the Massachusetts Cultural Council is administered fairly and equitably in the best interests of the Seekonk Community. It is also the Council's mission to seek out and encourage enterprising and innovative activities in the arts that can benefit and add to the quality of life in Seekonk.

Elderly & Disabled Taxation Aid Committee
The Committee administers the Taxation Aid Fund to assist elderly and disabled town members to defray the costs of their property taxes. The funds consist totally of donations.

Energy Committee
The Energy Committee offers advice to the Select Board on policies, programs, and issues promoting practices to reduce the town's "carbon footprint" and preserve and enhance Seekonk’s environment, natural resources, and quality of life for its residents and businesses. It also provides leadership, education, and outreach to members of the public, including residents, businesses, and town agencies.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee serves as the Advisory Board, making recommendations to Town Meeting on the Town Budget and all Warrant Articles. In addition, the Finance Committee approves appropriations from the Reserve Fund.

Historical Commission
The mission of the Town of Seekonk Historical Commission is the preservation and protection of the tangible evidence of the architectural, aesthetic, cultural, economic, political and social history of Seekonk.

Human Services Council
The Human Services Council is committed to promoting integrity, credibility, and responsibility in the human services industry.

Parks & Recreation Committee
The Mission of the Parks and Recreation Commission is to provide inspiration and recreation opportunities for the Town of Seekonk residents through creation and maintenance of high-quality programs, facilities, and community special events.

Planning Board
The Planning Board reviews plans submitted by applicants who want to develop their land as residential, commercial or other uses.

Recycling Committee
The Mission of the Recycling Committee is to increase participation in the current recycling program, increase public awareness of recycling related issues, and to encourage the use of products with recycling content.

Town Moderator
The Town Moderator is responsible for conducting all Town Meetings and making appointments to the Finance Committee, building committees and other appointments as authorized by Town Meeting.

Veterans Council
The Seekonk Veterans Council maintains the Seekonk Veterans Memorial Park as well as all of the Gold Star Memorial sites throughout the town.

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Mission of the Zoning Board of Appeals is to hear and decide appeals in accordance with the law, to hear and decide applications for special permits upon which the Board is empowered to act under, and to hear and decide petitions for variances.

540 Arcade Avenue Phase II Building Committee
On November 18, 2019, the Town voted to appropriate $1,477,938, or any other amount, to pay the costs of designing, planning, constructing, and furnishing Phase II of the renovation of 540 Arcade Avenue, a building owned by the Town. The Town further authorized the Moderator to appoint a committee of 7 to 9 members to oversee this project, under the direction of the Board of Selectmen.

Department of Public Works Building Committee
The Department of Public Works (DPW) Building Committee was formed for the purpose of overseeing the construction of a new DPW facility at 351 Fall River Ave, under the direction of the Board of Selectmen. Responsibilities include but not be limited to, planning and design for the completion of the building, development of appropriate designs, schematics, specifications, cost estimates, oversight of expenditures, and any other documentation required to construct and furnish such facility.

South End Fire Station Building Committee
On June 22, 2020, the Town voted to appropriate the sum of $425,000.00, or any other amount, to pay for the costs of designing, planning, and engineering for the construction of a South End Fire Station on land owned by the Town of Seekonk at 36 School Street. The Town further authorized the Moderator to establish a five (5) member building committee to facilitate the project or take any other action relative thereto.
