What is a Notary?
A notary is signing their name and affixing their seal saying that they witnessed you sign the document and that they saw proper identification from the person signing.
Notary Services are available in the Town Clerk's office where both the Town Clerk and the Assistant Town Clerk are Notaries.
If you need a document notarized and/or witnessed, do not sign ahead of time we need you to sign the document in front of us.
You must have a photo ID with you.
*As of February 11, 2013 we will be charging a Notary Fee of $1.00 per notarized signature with the monies to be donated to the Seekonk Animal Shelter.
**Town Clerks' Office will NOT notarize or act as an Authorized Representative for any I-9 Forms. (effective 09-17-13)
