Connolly Field Turf & Renovation Building Committee

Mission Statement:

The Committee’s purpose is to research and review the safest and most appropriate athletic field and complex designs for Seekonk’s current students, future students and the community. The Committee will oversee the cost of design services, plans, specifications and estimates for the proposed addition of a turf athletic field and renovations to the athletic complex located at Seekonk High School’s Connolly Field.

About the Committee:

On November 18, 2019 the Town voted to appropriate, transfer from Free Cash or available funds in the treasury, or borrow a sum of money not to exceed $200,000 for the cost of engineering services for the design, plans, specifications and estimates for the proposed addition of a turf athletic field and renovations to the athletic complex located at Seekonk High School, property owned by the Town of Seekonk, including demolition and site preparation and all other incidental and related costs, and to create a building committee of seven or nine members to oversee the project, to be appointed by the Town Moderator, or to take any other action relative thereto.
