The Town Clerk is the keeper of the records. This office maintains birth, death, and marriage records.
If you want to obtain a copy of a vital record, you can call this office to see if we have it in our vault at.
A certified copy of a vital record is $15 each and can be picked up in person or done through the mail. We accept cash or check only and checks are to be made payable to the Town of Seekonk.
Please note: If your child was born in Rhode Island, we will not have a record of your childs birth. You must go to the city or town where your child was born and they will have the birth certificate, even if you live in Seekonk. For example if your child was born at Women and Infants Hospital and the hospital tells you Seekonk will have it, we do not. Providence City Hall / Vitals Department will have it. That number is 401-222-2811.
Please call the Clerk's Office ahead of time if possible so that the copies requested can be made before you come in or mail in for them.
