Dogs are vaccinated for distemper, parvo, and rabies.
Each cat or dog over the age of 3 months is spayed/neutered before it leaves the shelter to go to its new home.
Dogs are tested for heartworm/tick-born illnesses and treated if positive.
Cats are tested for leukemia, FIV, and heartworm.
Dogs and cats are microchipped as well for a fee.
Adoption fees are based on the medical that has been given during their stay at the shelter and is offered at a discounted rate.
We assume a large portion of the expense of the spay/neuter surgery for the cats and dogs.
A neuter/spay deposit is required when an animal is adopted from the shelter before it is spayed or neutered. (Instructions on deposit reimbursement are listed on your final adoption paperwork)
We require written landlord permission if you rent your home and proof of ownership if you own your home. (tax bill/mortgage statement)
